There are so many great things to say; so, I’ll just start as long as you please read this in full. Fantastic children’s classes. Perfect way to ensure confidence, respect, teamwork, self esteem and awareness in your children. I am honored to have met such great kids and wonderful parents for bringing their children into the wonderful world of Jujistu, Judo, and Martial Arts. I also coach children in North Houston and was blessed to see and be a part of the great dynamics of this sanctuary.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have met and trained with these phenomenal coaches! Alex is a wonderful and professional instructor. This dojo has quickly become my home away from home. The coaches and teammates have welcomed me with open arms and will welcome you also! Every single person I have met here has been absolutely amazing to me. This place is exceptional and special, especially in the world of marial arts. I have been training martial arts for 20 years and can vouch for the high quality given here. Coach Alex and his staff have proven to be fantastic teachers for both children and adults.  They take great care to provide a safe environment, excellent training, and a keep it all fun.  Shortly after my 9 year old began training, I was drawn in and started training as well.  We both love the workout, the development of new skills, the exercise, and the camaraderie with the other students.

I highly recommend Insight Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to anyone interested in learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, looking for an exciting way to improve their fitness, or wanting to help their children burn off some energy while developing new skills.

Insight BJJ and Coach Alex are the absolute best. I’ve been in education for 15 years and know good coaching and teaching when I see it. Alex is one of the very best teachers and coaches I’ve seen. His assistant coaches are top notch as well. He understands the use of specific constructive feedback and the use or praise. He has set up his classes with structure and purpose with clear goals for each session. My girls (6 and 9) absolute love him! Jiu Jitsu, in general, is a great activity for kiddos. My girls do a lot, but they thoroughly enjoy BJJ and bug me not to miss it. BJJ teaches them skills and also patience. I’m a proponent of the Growth Mindset (see Carolyn Dweck) that focuses on effort and dedication over natural ability or “smarts” and BJJ supports our parenting and family philosophies.
