Thomas started his martial arts path at 4 when he took Karate at a local YMCA in South Carolina. He stayed competitive in point Karate until entering the 1996 US Shidokan bare knuckle Tournament  in Chicago while in the Navy. He competed in the Team USA and international Shidokan tournaments.  The Navy brought him to Everett  Washington where he met Maurice Smith, who was the current k1 and UFC heavyweight champion. Maurice taught Thomas kickboxing and grappling eventually brought Thomas to fight in Canada, and all throughout the Pacific northwest. In 1999 Thomas moved home to Texas and became certified by Fairtex as a Thai Boxing  instructor.  His style is “hard basics”, focusing on footwork and conditioning.
